Slipknot announced plans for a U.S. tour this summer

On Feb. 16, Slipknot announced plans for a U.S. tour this summer with Marilyn Manson and Of Mice & Men. On Monday (Feb. 29), the majority of the tour’s itinerary was revealed. The trek will begin June 9 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and wrap in Des Moines, Iowa, on Aug. 5.
A pre-sale for Slipknot fan club members will begin March 1 at noon local time. Following Citibank pre-sales on March 2 and local Live Nation and radio pre-sales on March 3, tickets will be available to the general public on March 4 at 10 a.m. local time.
Slipknot is still touring in support of its 2014 album, .5: The Gray Chapter. So far, it has produced five songs that have reached Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs Chart: “Killpop,” “The Devil In I, “Custer,” “The Negative Oneand most recent entry “Goodbye.”
But the tour isn’t the only bit of Slipknot-related news coming out Monday: It has also been revealed that frontman Corey Taylor will be hosting his own Beats 1 radio show for Apple Music. It’s called A Series of Bleeps With Corey Taylor and will premiere March 2 at 10 p.m. ET, with an encore the following day at noon.

 

Manson is touring in support of last year’s album The Pale Emperor.

Of Mice & Men, a metalcore band with Rise Records, has three albums to its name (all with Rise), most recently 2014’s Restoring Force.
